Our Core Promise: We Never See Your Images

All image processing happens 100% locally in your browser.Your images never leave your device, are never uploaded to any server, and are never stored anywhere except in your browser's temporary memory during the compression process.

What We Don't Collect

No Image Access

We cannot see, access, or view any images you process.

No Storage

Images are never saved to any database, cloud storage, or server.

No Uploads

Zero data is transmitted to our servers or any third parties.

No Tracking

No cookies, analytics, fingerprinting, or user tracking of any kind.

How Client-Side Processing Works

Load Application

PicOptimize loads in your browser as a static web app. No server-side rendering of your data.

Select Images

You choose files from your device using the standard browser File API. Files stay in your browser's memory.

Local Compression

WebAssembly runs compression algorithms (MozJPEG, WebP encoder) directly in your browser. No network requests.

Download Results

Compressed files are created as Blob objects in your browser and downloaded via the File Saver API. Still no server.

Browser Storage (Local to Your Device)

The only data stored is standard browser caching for the application itself:

  • Service Worker cache for offline functionality
  • Browser cache for static assets (CSS, JS, fonts)
  • No localStorage, sessionStorage, or IndexedDB used for user data

Third-Party Services

PicOptimize loads zero third-party scripts on the compression page:

  • ✕No Google Analytics, Mixpanel, or similar
  • ✕No advertising networks or pixels
  • ✕No social media widgets or trackers
  • ✕No CDN for user content (only static assets)
  • ✓Only first-party code from our domain

GDPR (EU)

Compliant by Design

No personal data processed = no GDPR obligations. Art. 4 GDPR - no 'processing' occurs.

CCPA (California)

Compliant by Design

No 'sale' of personal information. No personal information collected = nothing to delete or disclose.

LGPD (Brazil)

No data processing activities under LGPD definition. No controller/processor relationship.

PIPEDA (Canada)

No personal information collected, used, or disclosed. Principle 4.3 - consent not required for non-collection.

Children's Privacy

PicOptimize does not knowingly collect any information from children under 13 (or any age). Since we collect zero personal data from anyone, COPPA and similar regulations are inherently satisfied. The service is safe for all ages.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. Since we collect no data, changes will only clarify our zero-collection stance or add transparency.
